David Fox Design is an award winning Industrial and Product design Consultancy.

David studied Industrial design at the University of Teesside, soon after he began to work as a designer, then design manager for a tubular steel bedroom furniture manufacturer based in west yorkshire.

In 2001 David set up his own studio, from having four and a half years of designing beds, he turned his hand to the contract furniture market.

His philosophy and work ethic promote elegance and refinement. His well balanced, innovatively detailed, simplistic forms gives his work a timeless aesthetic. “The simpler an object is, the less you have to dislike over a period of time. If you use the example of a table or chair, you see or interact with it on a daily basis for a number of years. As an object this has to be something that offers long term visual harmony.”

Since inception his work and design ethic, have won him and the manufacturers he collaborates with numerous international awards :-

I have beginner to intermediate speaking skills in German and Ukrainian and competent understanding of aural ,written and visual skills.

Sub-section leader/duty officer/instructor (Royovi/Vykhovnyky) at Ukrainian Summer Youth Camp which enhanced my skills as a team player together with communication and interaction with people of varying age groups. I was responsible for the general well being, health, safety and behaviour of groups of boys between the ages of 9 and 14. My position also involved problem solving for group leaders and the boys.

Interests: Product Design. Ukrainian Dancing. F1. Skiing.

Ukrainian Dancing involves team work, self discipline, skill, imagination, co-ordination and for the person to be self-driven. I have had the opportunity to perform at the Llangollen Eisteddfod International Festival, touring Ukraine, semi-final of Got to Dance on Sky 1 together with various performances in the UK within both Ukrainian and other community circles.
