Bath Rugby is looking for an outstanding candidate to take on the role of a Graphic & Digital Designer, delivering innovative, first class, quality in-house graphic & video content which will help to significantly grow the presence of the brand and increase supporter engagement levels. Graphic & Digital Designer
Location: Farleigh House, Farleigh Hungerford, Bath, BA2 7RW and The Recreation Ground – Bath
Main Purpose:
- To deliver highly innovative, ground breaking, high-quality graphics for use externally across all marketing collateral. To develop highly engaging video and audio content, for use across Bath Rugby’s website, social media channels and on Bath Rugby matchdays. To significantly grow the presence of the brand and increase supporter engagement levels
- Using creativity with a commercial edge, develop relevant, innovative and engaging creative campaigns that help support Marketing, Ticketing, Retail, Community, Commercial and Stadium for Bath to achieve their commercial KPI’s
Job Role:
Digital content:
- Working alongside the Digital Co-ordinator to manage the filming, editing and production of high-quality Bath Rugby video content against specified departmental briefs
- Work closely with PR & Marketing Executives to compile a video content plan, which will feed into and support the wider Communications strategy for the season
- Develop video packages tailored towards different channel requirements and supporter audience profiles
- Work with multiple departments across Bath Rugby, from players, coaches through to Community team, Bath Rugby Foundation and The Stadium for Bath, to capture a range of engaging video content aligned to their core business objectives
- To constantly monitor the competitor environment particularly in sport and leisure, identifying best in class and making recommendations for new, innovative routes to market
- To evaluate all digital campaigns against the specific campaign KPI’s and make recommendations for on-going testing and improvement so that Bath Rugby are always at the forefront of supporter engagement
Graphic Design
- Working in support of our external graphic design agency, to develop & implement highly impactful campaign artwork for all media channels covering, but not limited to, matchday fixtures, commercial & hospitality, specific events, Stadium for Bath, Retail, & The Clash
- To advise key personnel on the most effective creative solution to achieve their specific project objectives
- To account manage the production schedule from the initial briefing process to artwork implementation ensuring deadlines are achieved
- To develop creative artwork for the big screen & manage its operation on matchdays aligned to Bath Rugby requirements, governing bodies and commercial partners
- Any other duties that may arise, which are deemed relevant by the Management Team
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced in filming, editing, and producing interesting and entertaining high-quality video content
- Experienced using Final Cut Pro
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
- Experienced in commercial graphic design across a range of platforms including; print, web, e-commerce, social media and signage
- Creative thinker who can react to current trends and generate new ideas
- Experienced across all forms of social media
- Ability to work alone and within an organised team environment
- Excellent copy writing, proof reading and communications skills
- Experienced working to tight-deadlines
- An enthusiastic and committed individual who will ‘go the extra mile’ to deliver results and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Preferably educated to degree level standard
- Valid driving licence and access to vehicle
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend work
- A strong portfolio
