PRODUCT DESIGNER

Marcel Wanders is looking for an experienced Product designer.
Tasks & responsibilities include:

- Responsible for realizing the designs of Marcel Wanders
- Management of clients and suppliers
- Research, concept development, hand sketch, 2d and 3d technical specifications, renderings and presentations
- Follow a wide scope of projects including furniture, lighting, product, cosmetic and packaging design
- Providing an extended service, guiding the project from concept through to manufacturing and delivery
- Taking a concept from a sketch to 3d model and through to final technical drawings ready for manufacturing

Background & education:

- At least a Bachelors degree at a renowned design academy
- 5+ years of relevant experience as an industrial designer
- Literacy in Solidworks is a must
- Literacy in all the Adobe series. Rhinoceros and 3D Studio Max is highly appreciated
- High quality renderings and visualization is a must
- Good understanding of manufacturing techniques
- Conceptual approach to styling, colours and materials
- Good feel for marketing and consumer behaviour
- Reliable, professional and experienced with customer contacts
- Flexible and fast with attention to detail
- Basic project management skills including production and planning aspects
- Living in Amsterdam or willingness to re-locate to Amsterdam
- Fluent in English; Italian is appreciated
- Dutch working permit
