At BBC Studios, we seek people who are passionate about who we are and what we do.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with excellent conceptual, scripting and editing skills, as well as a keen interest in directing, design and production. With strong planning and organisational awareness, project management comes naturally to you. You will be comfortable working autonomously and pitch ideas to internal stakeholders, but also be confident being supported by a senior network of creatives, specifically the Creative Director and Lead Creatives. You will be proficient working within a given budget and timeline and be able to edit and produce graphics, at offline level (Premiere & Photoshop preferred).
Creativity should be present in every aspect, from how you retrieve audience insights, lead brainstorms and present your pitches, to how you feedback to peers and Junior Creatives and execute your final creative output. You’ll be confident delivering in a fast paced, deadline-sensitive environment and be adaptable and receptive to change in the workplace. Accomplished in briefing and working with broadcast designers, you’ll demonstrate excellent awareness when interpreting marketing and programming strategies and be able to prioritise in order to best deliver to brief. Being experienced in partnering with contributors (actors, voice-over artists, personalities, influencers and presenters), you’ll be able to manage any potential challenges with tact and ease, demonstrating collaborative behaviours throughout.
You’ll have clear time and resource guidelines, in line with the departmental currency for Core work. You’ll be fluent in English, with a cultural awareness within the EMEA market. In addition, you possess a strong understanding of how content is created, published and shared across the internet and demonstrate commercial knowledge of the appropriate production processes, relevant tools and techniques. You’ll be audience focused, with an awareness of the latest broadcast and digital landscape and trends.
