Location: London, MillbankJunior Graphic Designer
The aim of Tate is to increase public awareness, understanding and enjoyment of British art from the 16th century to the present day, and of international modern and contemporary art.
This is a chance to join a busy, friendly in-house design studio delivering a wide range of exciting projects for one of the world’s most creative brands. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, gaining unique experience and knowledge which will help you progress your career in the future.
Our Design Studio manages design and production for all four Tate galleries. Your brief will be to translate creative concepts into high quality print-ready artwork using specialised software such as InDesign. So you’ll be involved in everything from updating templates, setting captions for exhibitions and creating PDFs to producing leaflets and the bi-monthly Tate Guide
To be up to the job, you’ll need a sound grasp of Adobe CS Suite a good knowledge of artwork for print, pre-press and production processes supported by a Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. Strong communication, typesetting and artworking skills, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously will be vital.
Tate aims to attract and retain talented people from all backgrounds, and these opportunities are for people to learn and develop new skills. We particularly encourage applications from black, ethnic minority, and disabled applicants as these groups are currently under-represented in the cultural sector.
