Foolproof is Europe’s biggest specialist in user experience design.
We’ve been leading this emerging field for over a decade.
That means we get some of the most challenging, diverse briefs.
If you’re committed to a career in digital design, this is a place where you can stretch yourself every day –
and also help the people you work with grow their skills and confidence.
Come and work somewhere where everyone ‘gets it’. And shares your enthusiasm and focus for doing great work.
The next generation of design leaders
We don’t design in a bubble: you’ll work closely with colleagues, our clients and their customers. If you can’t take the push-and-pull of the conversations that create great work, stay where you are. But if you like the rigour and focus that maximises the impact of your design in the real world, and with real people, you’ll love it here.
This job is an opportunity to push on and develop not just your own work and ideas, but to help and lead others
to create fantastic work. We need people who can pass on their skills and experience whilst staying committed
to developing themselves.
At any given time you’ll usually be assigned to one or two projects. These can range from small, tactical
projects, through to very large ongoing programmes of digital product or service design.
You’ll be put into multi-disciplinary teams with people from a wide range of research and design specialisms
(like planning, analytics, IA, user research and front-end development).
You will help to set the creative and conceptual direction within projects, and push the team towards design
solutions which reflect both client and customer needs. To do that you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with research specialists and find intelligent ways of interpreting our understanding of the world into a compelling user experience.
The central skill set you need is to be able to plan and execute design activities. You will direct and influence important design decisions within your project.
A confident communicator, you’ll be in regular dialogue with both our clients and your colleagues. You’ll be able to express your thinking and advice both conversationally and in written form. You will frequently have to contribute to reports and presentations which get shared with senior level clients.
You will have a natural sense of ownership and accountability. You will often be assigned a quality assurance role within projects, so you need a sharp eye for detail. You understand that critique – both giving it and getting it – is at the heart of creating powerful, effective design.
You’ll need to show a long-standing commitment to your field, so you’ll have at least a bachelor’s degree (or something equivalent) in design or creative arts. The package
